Nirvikar Jain advises emerging growth technology companies on M&A and strategic financing transactions, with a particular focus on the evolving fintech landscape. He has led or participated in multiple transactions, including advising fintech startups across the globe on valuation, market entry, fundraising, liquidity, and strategic planning.
Prior to Woodside Capital Partners, Nirvikar was the CEO at First Abu Dhabi Bank, PJSC, India, where he established a highly successful banking franchise, including getting Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI) and Banking licenses, building relationships with top-tier corporates, and making it FAB’s most profitable international business. His previous roles include CFO at Dreambig Semiconductor Inc, where he led financial operations and capital raising; CEO at ISB DLabs, a business accelerator, including overseeing their seed investment program; Vice President at Bank of America, where he developed a large structured trade finance and supply chain business; and Vice President at Citibank, where he established three new product lines in the Structured Trade, Commodity Finance and Trade Syndication areas that combined grew to a billion dollar plus business. He also managed a global, multi-geographic YC fintech company as Chief Revenue Officer. He has contributed to an MIT Press publication on the fintech industry, and served as a judge and mentor for Silicon Valley’s Plug & Play and Singapore’s Startup-O.
Earlier in his career, Nirvikar worked in APAC, operating out of New Delhi and Mumbai, and now resides in Palo Alto, CA. He holds a master’s degree as a Sloan Fellow from Stanford GSB, an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a bachelor’s in science from Delhi University. Nirvikar was the founding Director and served as the Board Chair for the UAE India Business Council (UIBC), promoting trade and investment between the two nations.
