Juliesta's Bio
Juliesta advises healthcare, biotechnology, and life sciences companies on M&A and strategic financing transactions. She brings 25 years of experience as an inventor, founder, corporate executive, and investment banker.
Juliesta has supported 14 successful advisory engagements as an investment banker at Woodside Capital Partners and WaveEdge Capital Partners, with clients ranging from molecular diagnostic assays to digital patient engagement applications. Prior to joining WCP, Juliesta helped build companies both organically and inorganically. Juliesta took the Northern Irish company, Diaceutics Ltd, public on the London Stock Exchange as Head of Global Data & Innovation. She ran a global emerging business unit at Fortune 500 Company IQVIA, and supported corporate development on acquisitions for accelerated growth in data commercialization. She was Chief Operating Officer at the a16z portfolio spinoff company, Satori, focused on digital asset management through Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). She has acted as independent advisor to next generation laboratory and multi-omic services companies, including supporting The Carlyle Group on technical diligence in their $435M acquisition of Unchained Labs.
Juliesta earned her B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where she was a Beckman Scholar and American Heart Association Award recipient. She received funding from Top-30 Pharma and Life Sciences companies to lead large, collaborative postdoctoral projects at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA and the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA.
