Russell's Bio
Russell Tillitt is an Executive Director at Woodside Capital Partners. He advises founders, boards, and investors on a wide range of strategic transactions, including mergers & acquisitions and capital formation across the data, AI, and IT services sectors. A veteran of the technology industry, Russell brings more than 25 years of experience as a founder and operator, with deep expertise in scaling and positioning data-driven businesses for high-value strategic outcomes.
Prior to Woodside Capital Partners, Russell was the co-founder and CEO of Embee Mobile, a mobile behavioral data firm which he led from its inception through its successful acquisition by Similarweb (NYSE: SMWB). Following the acquisition, he oversaw the integration and commercialization of enterprise data products for major technology clients. Most recently, he served as CEO of ePlant, where he was appointed by investors to reposition the company’s product strategy and strengthen its commercial foundation for future growth.
Russell earned an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Florida. He remains active in the startup ecosystem as an advisor to early-stage companies through UC Berkeley SkyDeck, where he mentors founders on product-market fit, go-to-market strategy, and strategic partnerships within the AI and data platform space.
