Paul's Bio
Paul Wiener is an Executive Director at Woodside Capital Partners, specializing in power semiconductors, power electronics, and advanced technologies. He brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience driving market creation, technology commercialization, strategic growth, and enterprise value across emerging technology companies and global corporations.
Prior to joining Woodside Capital Partners, Paul held senior leadership positions at Infineon Technologies and GaN Systems, where he was instrumental in transforming GaN Systems into a globally recognized leader in gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductors, culminating in its $830 million acquisition by Infineon in 2023. As Vice President of Strategic Marketing, he directed global market development, commercialization, and strategic positioning initiatives that greatly expanded the company’s customer base. Following the acquisition, he played a key leadership role in integrating GaN Systems into Infineon.
Previously, Paul led Eaton Corporation’s $150 million global power-magnetics product line. His earlier leadership experience includes sales and marketing roles in several small and large semiconductor companies.
Having built strategic value within emerging technology companies and subsequently participated in their integration into global industry leaders, Paul brings a distinctive perspective on both sides of strategic transactions—understanding what makes companies attractive to acquirers and how to develop the market position, commercial traction, and competitive differentiation that create that value.
Paul holds five issued U.S. patents, an MBA from Golden Gate University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
