Palo Alto, CA – Aug. 31, 2005 – Eagleware Corp. (DBA Eagleware-Elanix), a leading provider of system and circuit design software for the communications industry, has announced its acquisition by Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A), the world’s premier measurement company and a technology leader in communications, electronics, life sciences and chemical analysis. Employees of Eagleware-Elanix will join Agilent’s EEsof division, a leader in the high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA) market, particularly in high-end tools.
Agilent’s product lines are complimentary with Eagleware-Elanix, noted easy to use products and technological leadership in high-frequency design synthesis tools. Eagleware-Elanix’s new suite of GENESYS 2005 products, the company’s most significant release in several years, is shipping on schedule to their existing customer base. Features of the new version include: WhatIF (a new frequency-planning tool), CAYENNE (a new time domain simulator), MIXER (a new synthesis module), enhancements to architecture simulators, new models, and a revamped user interface.
“In comparing the records of both companies, it is clear that a large number of customers have a mix of both Agilent and Eagleware product lines… This validates our strategy of continuing to offer both product lines, as they are definitely serving two different needs. In particular, the Eagleware products are highly regarded in the market as easy-to-use, cost-effective native PC software suites. We have no intention of changing this.” – Jim McGillivary, Vice President and General Manager, Agilent EEsof
“Eagleware-Elanix is an employee-owned company, and my discussions with our employees over the past week have shown overwhelming support for this acquisition. A key benefit of the deal is that our GENESYS and ADS customers will see innovations from the combined resources of both companies.” – Todd Cutler, President and CEO, Eagleware-Elanix
Woodside Capital Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Eagleware Corp. in this transaction.
