TJ Eadington advises innovative companies on M&A and investment deals. He brings over 20 years of expertise gained in the formation of new companies to Woodside Capital Partners clients.
Prior to Woodside Capital Partners, TJ was both an entrepreneur and institutional buy-side investor in long-short equities and private equity including start-ups and growth-stage phases. He is a proven successful leader in implementing private equity investment and operations methodologies, and growing firms by focusing on bringing in the right people and investors.
From 2016-2020, TJ was a managing principal of EC Limited, a boutique advisory firm that focused on strategic assignments for clients. From 2010-2015, he was the co-founder and fund manager of Archangel Global Investors (AGI) and led the fund’s strategy and research activities. From 2008-2009, TJ was an investment advisor at Morgan Stanley & Company focusing on alternative investment strategies.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, TJ was co-founder and portfolio manager of First Q Capital, a $180 Million long-short equity fund focused on the nexus of public and private equity markets. In the preceding eight years, TJ was a co-founder and founding board member of RVCA, a leading consumer brand focusing on youth culture. RVCA was sold to Billabong in 2010. Afterwards, he worked as a managing member at Corporate Venture Advisors which focused on early-stage investments and turn-arounds.
In 1997, TJ successfully co-founded the Illumea Corporation, a medtech company that made telerobotic imaging systems for biological research and clinical diagnosis. Illumea was acquired by a public company in May 2000 and was subsequently purchased by Carl Zeiss AG. From 1996 to 1998, TJ was an investment professional at Bravante-Curci Investors (BCI), a $50 MM private equity fund based in Newport Beach, California. At BCI, TJ was responsible for analysis of investments and due diligence.
TJ began his career in 1994 as an analyst at Kidder Peabody & Company where he worked for the Director of Research. TJ received a B.S. in Political Economy at the University of California at Berkeley and did his postgraduate research at the University of Oxford in Game Theory applied to socio-economic issues.
